3 Days in Da Nang (Slow Travel Style)

A relaxed itinerary by Sheridan-Leigh for wanderers who like to linger.

Da Nang isn’t a city you rush through not if you want to experience its real rhythm. It’s a place where mountains meet the sea, where the food is fresh and the smiles come easy. If you’ve only got three days, don’t try to do it all. Instead, follow this slow travel plan that leaves room for discovery, peace, and a bit of salt in your hair.

Day One: Coastal Calm & Café Culture

Morning:

Start with a sunrise walk on My Khe Beach one of Vietnam’s most beautiful.

Grab breakfast at 43 Factory Coffee Roaster for top-tier coffee and lakeside serenity.

Late Morning:

Visit the Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda. Go early to avoid the tour groups and take your time walking the quiet gardens.

Afternoon:

Enjoy a long lunch at Son Tra Retreat nestled in the hills.

Head to Man Thai Fishing Village to see local life up close, then continue along the scenic coast road.

Evening:

Catch the sunset from Son Tra Peninsula (Ban Co Peak if you’re up for it).

Dinner at Bep Hen a hidden gem with traditional Vietnamese comfort food.

Day Two: Culture, Markets & Quiet Moments

Start your day at Han Market for a gentle local buzz. Sample fresh fruit and local snacks.

Visit Da Nang Cathedral (the pink one!) or wander around the Museum of Cham Sculpture for something different.

Tuck into Mi Quang (Da Nang’s signature noodle dish) at Mi Quang Ba Mua.

Afternoon:

Escape the heat at Cong Caphe, a retro-style Vietnamese chain with air-con, atmosphere, and great coconut coffee.

Take a peaceful walk along the Han River promenade or simply read a book with a riverside view.

Evening:

Dinner at Nen Restaurant for a fine-dining experience with Vietnamese flavours.

If you’re up for it, stroll the Dragon Bridge as it lights up. On weekends, catch the fire and water show (but skip the crowd if you’re craving peace).

Day Three: Nature, Nourishment & Reflection

Morning:

Visit Marble Mountains go early to avoid the heat. Take it slow, and don’t worry if you don’t see every cave.

Smoothie bowl breakfast at The Hideout Café on your way back.

Lunch:

Take your time with a lazy seaside lunch at The Nautical or La Plage. Or grab a Banh Mi and a coconut coffee from Meet in Son Tra

Afternoon:

Enjoy your final hours at My An Beach with a beach chair, a good book, and a chilled coconut.

Sunset drinks at Sky36 Rooftop Bar or a more relaxed rooftop like Brilliant Top Bar.

Final Thoughts

Three days in Da Nang doesn’t need to be a blur of must-sees. When you travel slowly, the real beauty of the place reveals itself in the smiles of café owners, in quiet temple breezes, and in the way the ocean seems to reset everything.

Let Da Nang move at your pace. And you might find yourself staying longer than planned.
