Yes… they are a thing: Elephant Pants – Thailand

Elephant Pants – Thailand

Before I came to Thailand, I did some research like most travellers do. I wanted to know where to go, how to get there, and what to see. But there were two things that confused me.

I read a lot about 7-Eleven toasties, so I tried one. They’re really good – a selection of sandwiches with many different fillings that the friendly staff toast for you, and it only costs $1.40. After a few months here, I can say I’ve had quite a few. They’re the perfect snack or lunch. So, kudos to 7-Eleven for thinking of us tourists.

Now, the second thing is Elephant Pants. People told me I had to have them. As I travelled around Thailand, I noticed that almost every tourist had them. People wear them in temples when they don’t have the right clothes, but they also wear them everywhere else, day or night, whether they’re at the big Icon Siam mall or the Walking Street Night markets. Elephant Pants have no boundaries.

So, I surrendered to the trend, and you know what? Elephant Pants are surprisingly lightweight and incredibly comfortable. However, you won’t catch me flaunting them outside my apartment. Call it quirky, but I Love MyLifestyle
